Biography
He graduated in Architecture from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto in 1980. While still studying, he began collaborating with architectural practices, working both on design projects and providing technical support on construction sites.
The combination of theoretical and artistic education at the Faculty of Fine Arts with simultaneous professional experience enabled him to develop strong resilience and a highly pragmatic approach that would shape the rest of his career.
Throughout his career, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to undertake projects across Portugal and, later, in numerous countries throughout Europe and Africa, giving him a broader and more international perspective on both his profession and life. He is currently Managing Partner of URBIS and PROEDILIS, a real estate development company, and a partner in other companies he co-founded, including GIPP, which operates in the field of urban planning, and AMBISITUS, which specialises in environmental services.
Throughout his career, he has also held ownership interests in other real estate development and construction companies, reflecting the breadth of his experience and his strong entrepreneurial focus.
